International Jazz Day is annual and Dr. Moloi who is the Namibian ambassador for the International Jazz celebrations by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) have hosted two events in the past two years.

Local creative and production manager Tafanji Nyirenda confirmed that this year’s event is organized by Moloi Trading and Enterprise.
The event which is free of charge will be open to the general public and jazz lovers and will be held at two separate venues. According to Tafandji the Jazz Tour will take place at The Kitchen today and tomorrow it will be at Kalahari Coffee And Jazz Café.
“Both shows will be a commemoration of International Jazz Day which falls on 30 April Yearly under UNESCO. All shows are free to Jazz Lovers and the general public,” he said.
Dr. Kagiso Moloi, a renowned jazz radio presenter and enthusiast says the shows are a must attend as it will be an unforgettable two days.
“Dr. Moloi has played the role to bring the supporting international artists as well as included Erna Chimu whom he manages at this point in time. Apart from organizing the event, Dr. Moloi will need to play a vital role in supporting Jazz with Namibia Jazz artists and music lovers and unifying people through music,” said Tafandji.

International Jazz Day is an international day which was declared by Unesco in 2011 and celebrated annually on 30 April to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe. Be part of the fun and all things jazzy by rocking up at the shows!
