The RASA is the African Union Sport Council Region 5 celebration of excellence in sports by celebrating athletes and sports journalists.
The news was announced on the social media accounts of RASA with the caption
"RASA 2019 Presenter Announcement: @Uejaasassy. Born and bred in Windhoek, Namibia's Uejaa has been in the entertainment industry for the past 12 years," read the caption.
Uejaa who has acknowledged that she has a huge job which will likely come as a breeze to her said that she is excited to be part of the team that celebrates African talent.
Uejaa has been in the entertainment industry for over 10 years where her journey began as a news reader at the Katutura Community Radio Station which is now known as Base FM. She managed to work her way up to eventually hosting the NAMAs in 2011 with no live TV skills.
Today she has hosted some of the biggest awards including the MTC Premiership Awards which is the biggest celebration of the Namibian Premier league, as well as the MTC/Namibia Sports Commission Awards in 2017. She took to the stage at the 2017 NAMA awards that are dubbed as the most successful to date where Uejaa was one of the main hosts alongside one of the best in the game in Africa, Bonang Matheba.
Uejaa has also shared the stage with South African Maps Maponyane as well as Adriano Visagie at last year's Windhoek Annual Jazz Festival.
Uejaa is currently the head of marketing, promotions and sponsorship at Shipanga Holdings and she also uses her golden voice for radio and TV adverts.
The RASA awards will be broadcasted live on NBC Plus as well as the RASA official Facebook page on 25 May so make sure to tune in to watch this queen glow and host!
