All this is and more will take place at the Happy Art Hour, a social event that the NAGN introduced in 2015. The purpose of the event is to allow the public to visit the gallery after 17h00 on a Friday afternoon. The event welcomes all art lovers to the gallery for a walk through of our exhibitions by interacting with different art pieces, and at the same time delighting in a glass of wine for only N$ 20.00 entrance fee.

In collaboration with Something Artsy, this Happy Art Hour features a paint and wine session for N$350.00, with Davido Indongo as the art instructor using the pointillism technique. Paint and wine is designed to offer the participants a break away from their typical night out, with the perfect mix of creativity, socializing and creating a “one-of-a-kind” painting.

Something Artsy is a venture created to fulfill the need for more creative social events, in and around the country, with the aim to spark people’s inner creativity and imagination in a fun and interactive setting. Additionally a raffle artwork is up for grabs for one lucky person. The artwork was donated by artist Ndakonjelwa Nghipandulwa from the exhibition ‘On the Brink’ currently on display at the NAGN.
Ndako made the announcement this morning on his social media which has been well received by art lovers. Ndako has been making airwaves lately ever since he gifted Nigerian musician Ice Prince Zamani with a portrait of his face during his visit to Namibia recently.
Ice Price Zamani said he will never forget the kind gesture of the artist. Upon arrival in Nigeria, Ice Prince Zamani took to his Instagram stories and showed off his portrait saying it had landed safely.
