From its inception in 2016, the Windhoek Fashion Week has gradually grown to become one of the the biggest fashion events in Southern Africa. With the organizers announcing the official dates for this year’s edition, we have no doubt that it will be even bigger!
The 5 day event, which aims to showcase designers form across the African continent alongside home grown designers, will take place from 5 November to 9 November. The platform comprises of emerging designers, students and seasoned designers. It also incorporates jewelery makers, shoe makers/designers and make-up artists.
Last year, model Maria Nepembe’s power suits from a Ria Clothing collection was a show stopper. Other highlights from the ramp included South Africa’s House of Saint Luke, as well as Namibia Institute of Mining and Technology graduate, Malina - all with spectacular pieces.
