SYM Lifestyle And Fashion Awards To Take Place In September

The Simply You Magazine Lifestyle and Fashion Awards 3rd edition will be taking place on the 7th of September 2019 at National Theater of Namibia (NTN).

In an interview, the Director of the SYM Lifestyle and Fashion Awards Kalistu R Mukoroli revealed that they have finally decided to host the glitz and glamour  award ceremony in September although the date might change.

“Personalities have already started applying for different categories and the closing date for applications would be on the 6th of June 2019.  Anyone can apply as long as you have proven your work,” he said.

With the aim of celebrating Namibian personalities and creative, Mukoroli added that the 3rd edition will have a different theme which is African Royalty this time around.

“Last year’s award ceremony was an old school kind of theme where we brought back the old cats to perform live on stage and this time  we want something different and exciting. We working hard to see how we are going to work around the above mentioned theme,’ he explained.

Apart from the new theme introduced, he also mentioned that the organizing teams have plans to invite a popular personality from outside the country.

“We want to spice up things this year because sometimes the media people hardly cover your event if there were no international guests but we are not sure yet who we inviting “he stressed.

The 2018 Simply You Magazine Lifestyle and Fashion Awards saw personalities such as Denzyl Naobeb walking away with the Favourite Actor award while  Elizabeth Shakujungua was crowned Favorite Female Actor.

Meanwhile the Favourite Comedian award was given to Ndangi Iileka and Mathew Erastus received the favourite fashion designer award.

Favourite Emerging Designer was Simeone Johannes and Sage By Dee won the Favourite Accessories Designer including many others.
