The first Captain Kalola movie was released in 2015 and is created by Omalaeti Films in collaboration with Basement Films Productions. The film is about a corrupt officer ( Captain Kalola) based in the northern region of Namibia.
The movie follows the lives of a gang that wants to make their next catch so they move to the capital city, Windhoek.

Shot in Oshikango and surrounding areas, the movie follows the lives of a village gang that is looking for their big score in hopes of getting enough money to move and live in the big city. The hilarious movie then sees the gang members teaming up with officer Kalola in an attempt of cashing him out and finally making it to their dream destination, Windhoek.
The two-hour long movie is much loved as it is a true interpretation of Namibia, from the Namlish that comes out of Captain Kalola's mouth to the way lifestyles that a normal Namibian has once lived before moving to the city.
Another thing is the movie was acted by musicians who are talented in both acting and singing. Captain Kalola AKA Tate Buti really brought humor to the table effortlessly and the gang made up of group members of PDK and Top Cheri who rose to fame with her character as Nangula.

So far, for the second film, we know there are old and new actors including Hikwa artist Sunny Boy. In an interview with New Era, He says he wanted to bring this to light after he acted in two local movies, namely Captain Kalola 2 and This Is Windhoek.
“Although all the movies are not yet out, people will see that I am really talented when it comes to acting,” says Sunny Boy, adding that in Captain Kalola 2 he acts as One Shot, a gangster character," he says.
