The Windhoek Fashion Week, has become a not-to-be-missed event in the Namibian social calendar as it brings creatives and fashionistas together for a week full of glitz and glamour, and it becomes a star-studded affair.

It is no secret that this year has been a tough year for the fashion industry in the country due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Even though we have experienced some hiccups, since the last edition of the show, some of our designers have done so well that they have gained international recognition and acclaim, while our celebrities have made an impact on just about every big stage they have graced.

So when the opportunity comes to celebrate the great year they had enjoyed, they all prepare for a big celebration. WFW has partnered with the MTC to host the biggest fashion event in the Namibian fashion calendar, which has been dubbed MTC Windhoek Fashion Week.

The founder of the event Luis Munana, has been hard at work preparing for the busy weekend and he has already started counting down. Luis has been doing photo shoots for the models and encouraging the masses to purchase their tickets.

It was also recently announced that The Fashion Soiree is back with a bang. The Fashion Soiree is an after-party that takes place during much anticipated Windhoek Fashion Week and it sees many pulling out all the stops for an evening full of fun.

From its inception in 2016, Windhoek Fashion Week has gradually grown to become one of the biggest fashion events in Southern Africa. With the organizers announcing the official date for this year’s edition, we have no doubt that it will be even bigger!

The event has evolved over the years and it attracts the attention of many people even across the country. The event is the first and only independent after-party for the fashion week which makes it very unique.

The event is hosted by three of Namibia's fashion guru's Reinhard Mahalie, Jay Aeron, and Rumano Fabrishh. In an announcement made on Instagram by the organizers, they posted a video where they are serving some sauce as always, rocking all white-outfits and drinking champopo!

We cannot wait for the event to take place.
