Supporters Rally Behind Miss Teen Namibia

She will be flying the Nam flag high!

Alexis Swart thanked everyone for their support as she embarks on a new journey as she heads to India. "Thank you to my Namibian and international supportersโ€ฆI will make you proud! One more day to Go," she wrote.

The pageant starts on 22 July and end on July 30.

The Miss Namibia Instagram page celebrated Alexis with a sweet message to boost her confidence.

"And off she goes! Our stunning Miss Teen Namibia 2021 Alexis Swart is on her way to leave her mark at Miss Teen International in India! Support her by commenting on her photos on the @missteenint page on Facebook and Instagram x Alexis you have worked so hard and we look forward to seeing your journey! Namibia is behind you all the way," they wrote.

The Miss Teen top 12 for this year have also been announced with Miss Debutante and Miss Public Choice being given a chance to compete. These are, "Kaino Jona, Ella Nangolo, Chantรช van Wyk, Marelee Ferreira, Elne Brand, Jada Tati, Tessany Esterhuizen, Jordan Strauss, Rosa-Marni Pienaar and Tharina Louw.

The two additional ladies are Unify Kazumba who was voted as Miss Public Choice and Zoe Karsten who is Miss Debutante.

Overjoyed with excitement over being added to the list, Chante said, โ€œI'm very overwhelmed right now. The nerves were there, but overall I'm happy to be a finalist. I was definitely not expecting to be one of the finalists but I worked very hard and sacrificed a lot to be in this pageant. I'm really glad for the experience,โ€ she said as quoted by The Namibian.

Jada Tati also is excited but she highlighted her duty as a finalist and that is to break stereotypes, โ€œIt's definitely something new because I'm an athlete, a hockey player. I just wanted to break the stereotype that girl and woman athletes can't be perceived as feminine enough or too masculine. By entering this pageant and being chosen as a finalist, I'm definitely on the right path to breaking it,โ€ she reportedly said.



In other pageant news, the top 12 finalists for Miss Namibia have also been revealed. Initially there were 10 finalists chosen and these are: These are Aina Kweyo, Cassia Sharpley, Elizabeth Namoloh, Ashleigh Kleintjies, Diana Andimba, Michelle Mukuve, Leonรฉ van Jaardveld, Nongee Kandji, Uetuesa Zaire, Zawady Tjijombo

Additionally there were two other ladies added as Miss Debutante and Miss Public Choice and they are Lily Shihepo and Zhahida Tjizera respectively.
