Sally Boss Madam Bags AFRIMMA Nomination

The star is nominated alongside BET award-winning artists Shasha, and Sho Madjozi.

Award-winning afro-fusion singer Sally Boss Madam, is on cloud after she bagged a nomination at the prestigious African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) 2020.

The singer is not the only one who is excited for her nomination, Namibians have expressed how happy and proud they are of her, because it shows that her music is being celebrated across the world.

The star is expected to fly the Namibian flag high at the international awards which will be hosted in November 2020. The prestigious awards will be a virtual affair this year due to the coronavirus surge which has forced many events to pursue this route.

AFRIMMA is the sole award ceremony in the Diaspora that caters for all music genres. It also creates a platform that promotes the diversity of African music by bringing influential artists from different African Countries.

Sally is nominated alongside SA supester Sho Madjozi who bagged a BET award lat year and Zimbabwean BET award-winning star Sha Sha. Expressing her excitement on being nominated recently on Twitter Sally Boss Madam wrote, "Here we go again fam @afrimma 2020 nominated waving our flag high"

The musician has won a number of awards in the country including at the 2018 Namibian Annual Music Awards.

Sally bagged seven nominations and scooped two. The musician walked away with Female Artist of the Year and Best R&B. She has also won the Best Female Southern Africa at the AFRIMMA18 awards.

Another artist who is nominated for the AFRIMMA awards is King Tee Dee. The musician is nominated under the Best Make Southern Africa category.

Expressing his excitement following his nomination, King Tee Dee wrote, "This list Way too tough but atlist I see Namibia's name on there and that will make them go on google and want to find out what is Namibia. Congrats to Namibia for being on the list that is a big achievement," wrote King Tee Dee.

Sally recently set tongues wagging when she took to Instagram to share wedding snaps of what looked like her wedding.

The pictures caused quite a frenzy on social media, and left fans guessing on whether it was a music video shoot, or an actual wedding. But speaking to The Namibian, Leather Mein and Sally revealed that it was a music video shoot.

β€œIt was all showbiz. In other countries I see this sort of thing happening all the time. Sally and I wanted to create hype so people would be motivated to watch the video when it comes out. The confusion we created was all for marketing purposes,
” said Leather Mein.
