Growing up, we used to be told that 'education is the key to life,' while that fact might have changed over time and talent is currently one of the best-paying endeavors, being well-educated is always an added bonus.

These celebs are not only at the top of their game talent-wise, but they are also some of the most brilliant minds around and they have their papers to prove it.

Monica Geingos

First Lady Monica Geingos is one of the most powerful people in Namibia and among the top 100 most influential people in Africa.

While some of her fame comes from her position as the president’s better half, Monica was a force to be reckoned with even before she became the first lady in 2015.
To begin with, Geingos is both a lawyer and an entrepreneur and holds two legal degrees- B. Juris and LLB from the University of Namibia.

She has also held some of the most powerful positions in the country. She previously served as the Chairman of the Board of eBank Namibia and is the current Managing Director of Namibia’s largest private equity fund- Stimulus.

Among the many accolades that she has received, Monica Geingos was inducted into the Namibian Business Hall of Fame.

She is definitely a role model for all the young women in Africa and is an inspiration that with a brilliant mind and good education, they too can reach the top.

La-Toya Mwomboola a.k.a Lioness has been dominating the headlines lately with her projects, great hits, and awards at the NAMAs. But while she wins big in the music industry, sis is also winning in her medical career and is famously always referred to as ‘doctor by day and rapper by night.’
In 2018, Lioness graduated from the University of Namibia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery after six years of hard work and in 2021 she became a qualified doctor after completing her medical internship.

It appears that in Lioness’ case, the fruit did not fall far from the tree. Her late mother whom she often credits for her success had a Ph.D. in Law and juggled two jobs to support her two daughters all by herself.

Lioness recently revealed that she is expectant, we know for sure that she will be a great mum like her mum was.

Prisca Anyolo

Prisca Anyolo is many things- she is a news presenter, an actress, a model, and a self-taught make-up artist

We can also confidently say that Prisca is also one of the most beautiful women in Namibia having made it to the final six in the 2021 Miss Namibia competition.
In addition to her looks, Anyolo is also one brainy lady. She holds a degree in Journalism from the Pearson Institute of Higher Education in South Africa which was previously known as Midrand Graduate Institute.

If you were looking for an example of beauty with brains then Prisca Anyolo is your girl.

Luis Munana

Luis Munana has one of the most brilliant minds in Namibia right now. Not only has he established his name in the fashion industry, and the media world but he is also one great businessman, in 2019, he was named in the Forbe’s 30 Under 30.
But that’s not all there is to know about Zuriel’s founder, Luis is also very gifted academically. He holds a B.Tech Degree in Financial Information which opened doors for him as a Financial Analyst.

Exit Rockaz

The self-proclaimed GOAT of Namibian music is a musical genius no doubt, but did you also know that this star has a brilliant mind as well?
Exit whose real name is David Shikalepo began his primary and secondary education at Oshakati. He scored outstanding grades which secured him a spot at the University of Namibia to pursue a Media Arts degree.

His time at the university not only got him a degree but it was also during this period that he met Mushe and kick-started his musical career.
