Luis Munana popularly known as Luis, is a jack of all trades. He is Namibia’s top male international model who has graced catwalks in London and USA.

He is also a presenter, a financial analyst and businessman.

Although he comes from a small town in Namibia, he has managed to make a name for himself, becoming one of the most famous males in his country. He is one of the first Namibian males to be listed in the Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list.

Luis Munana Age

He celebrates his birthday on 23 July and was born in 1991. He turned 30 this year.

Luis Manana Family

Luis Manana was born and raised in Rundu - the capital of the Kavango-East Region in the north of Namibia. His second name is Tshita. Luis was raised by his parents. They did not only support him and his siblings, but Luis's grandparents, his parents' siblings and five of his cousins. He comes from a family of six and is the last born. 

Luis Munana Education

Luis attended the Noordgrens Secondary School in his hometown from Grade 1 to 10. During his time in the school, he made history by becoming the youngest head boy. At that time he was in Grade 10. 

To complete his studies, he relocated to Windhoek. He attended Windhoek High School, Jan Mohr and Hochland High School and  Academia High School. In an interview with New Era Live, Luis said he changed high schools because the schools were refusing him to study five subjects on higher level.

“As per norm a student is only allowed to have six subjects, four being higher level subjects. I wanted to have seven subjects where six are on higher level. Academia High gave me that opportunity,” he told the publication. 

He became the top five achievers at the school. After matric, he obtained a B. Tech Degree in Financial Information. 

Luis Munana Girlfriend

Luis's ex-girlfriend is Mira, his former house mate on Big Brother season nine.  The two made it official after leaving the reality show. 

in 2015, he dated Tanzanian model Wema Sepetu. The two broke up in 2016. After the breakup, Wema wrote on Twitter that she misses Luis.

Luis is the founder of Voigush media. The company deals with television, models, print publishing, social media for corporate companies and Public Relation. He started the company with business partners - Tuwilika Nafuka & Kalistu Mukoroli.

Voigush Africa

The Voigush Africa - a lifestyle, fashion and entertainment TV show was started in 2014. Luis is the producer, director and even writes and edits scripts for the show.

Talking about how the idea of the television show came about, Luis told Forbes Africa that it was inspired by South African TV lifestyle shows. 

" While studying in South Africa, I would go to auditions to shows like V Entertainment, Top Billing and MTV Base Africa but they would always tell me I am not South African. So, I came home and created my own show,” he told Forbes.
Voigush Magazine

Voigush Magazine is also another business owned by Luis. It covers fashion, lifestyle and entertainment. It is not only based in Namibia, but covers content from Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe South Africa, and Nigeria.

Waka Waka Moo TV show

Luis is the creative director of Namibia’s first original animated cartoon and puppet show called Waka Waka Moo. The show took three years in the making and started to air in 2017. It is broadcasted in different languages. Luis has even presented the show in France at the Cannes Film Festival.

The successful show, which was an instant hit in Nambia, airs in other countries including - the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada. It focuses on educational content. 

‘’I was babysitting my niece and nephew, I saw them recite every single word from cartoons created in the western world. So I decided to create Namibia’s own cartoon and puppet show translated in all 11 Namibian languages. So Waka Waka Moo was created.’’- Luis was quoted as saying on his website

The TV show has been so successful that it is on its second season.

Waka Waka Moo is not only on TV, but Luis has held shows in 44 rural primary schools to reach children who do not have televisions.

Waka Learning Academy

Waka Waka Moo TV show has given birth to the Waka Learning Academy. The academy is for three to twelve-year-olds, and the show’s characters are used to educate children using an international curriculum called the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

Windhoek Fashion Week

Luis is the founder and director of the Windhoek Fashion Week.

The annual Windhoek Fashion Week is the biggest fashion event in Namibia. The show has local and international designers showcase their designs.

Zuriel Fashion Brand

Luis recently launched an exclusive luxurious men and women's clothing and accessories brand called Zuriel. The brand boasts exquisite pieces and has dressed some of our Namibian stars like Dillish Matthews, Maria Nepembe and Lioness Nam.

Luis Munana House

Luis is currently building his own house in Namibia which is one of his biggest projects to date. He went to social media to give thanks to his father, who he says taught him to live debt free.

Luis Munana Gets Robbed

Luis survived a traumatic incident earlier this year. His team put out a statement saying. 
"Last night around 7 pm while dropping off a friend who he allowed me to drive his car while he sat in the passenger seat because he was exhausted from Monday woes, a man crept from the side of the rearview mirror and forcefully snatched Luis Munana's personal belongings,"
He managed to come out physically unharmed and took some time off to recuperate.

Luis Munana Big Brother

Luis rose to fame during his time on Big Brother Africa house in 2014. 

He represented Namibia during the ninth season and he became the tenth housemate to be evicted. 

Luis Munana Charities

In 2019, NAMIBIA Diamond company (NAMDIA) endorsed Luis Munana for their Mobile Telecommunications (MTC) Gender-Based Violence Knockout boxing project. 

His other charity works include working with Her Liberty Nam, Central Hospital Cancer Ward Children’s Fun Day and Rundu Town Council ’KEEP ENVIRONMENT CLEAN' project. 

Luis Manana Net Worth

Over the years Luis has amassed quite a lot of wealth and he is focused on growing his businesses. His exact net worth at the moment is not known but he is reportedly estimated to reach US$200 million in the near future.
