Award-winning local musician Gazza recently expressed how saddened he is by the untimely passing of SA's Kwaito first lady Mshoza.

"Saddened by the news of Mshoza’s passing, I’m sending all my strength and condolences to her friends and family," he wrote. Mshoza and Gazza have worked together before on a track titled "South 2 Corner."
News of her passing was confirmed by her very close friend Khanyi Mbau who took to social media and wrote "REST IN PEACE MY LOVE. I am tired of 2020." Mshoza died in Johannesburg hospital this morning, 19 November 2020, and messages of condolences and tributes have been pouring in to her family and friends.

Mshoza's management company, Kwathole Conexion released a statement revealing that the star died after suffering a short illness.

"It is with great sadness to announce the untimely death of Nomasonto Mshoza Maswanganyi. The Kortez hitmaker succumbed peacefully in the early hours of this morning. She was 37. She will be deeply missed as an ultimate entertainer who loved being on stage. Not only did she radiate star quality, Mshoza was a media darling."

Earlier this year, Mshoza allegedly contracted the Coronavirus. The 37-year-old shot fame several years ago. Mshoza started singing at the tender age of 10 and started dancing for kwaito group, Chiskop from 1998. She signed her very first deal at the young age of 15.

Mshoza hogged the headlines with her multiple cosmetics surgeries which made her trend. Celebs including Boity, Tipcee, Phil Mphela and DJ Zinhle have reacted to the news of her passing and paid tribute to her.

A few days later following Mshoza's passing former SA Mamelodi Sundowns defender Anele Ngcongca passed away following a tragic car accident. The 33-year-old was previously romantically liked with Mshoza

The soccer player lost his life during the early hours of Monday morning, 23 November 2020. “It’s alleged that this morning, at 5am, a vehicle with two occupants lost control and overturned on the N2 freeway near Mtunzini. A 33-year-old man was declared dead at the scene. The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for medical attention. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. A case of culpable homicide has been opened for investigation by Mtunzini SAPS." reports Eye Witness News 

Mshoza's memorial was hosted today and she will be buried this Saturday. May their soul rest in peace.
