The Lion King Premier Hits Africa

It's a popular film and surely most of us got to see the animated movie of Simba when we were kids. The movie has made it's way back to our screens and has quite lived up to the hype of many. The Lion King features the voice acting talent of Donald Glover, Beyonce and  John Kani.

Much to the appraisal of good African music, the sound track features gems of some talent from Africa. Beyonce, who helped select which African acts got the honor, said that she wanted this soundtrack to be a "love letter to Africa". The album features hitmakers like Burna Boy, Yemi Alde, Mr Eazi and Busiswa and Moonchild who hail from our neighbors, South Africa

The frenzy touched down in Africa yesterday and we must say, the celebs were ready for this epic night. They showed up dressed to the T, in full regalia just as they did with the Blank Panther. Although Queen B couldn't make it herself, the fashion ensembles from the celebrities did not disappoint.

The movie was shot in different parts of Africa and Namibia could not be missed for its beautiful scenery. At the Sesriem Canyon, is where the stampede takes place as Simba runs away to join Timon and Pumbaa.
