Musician and plus size model Priscilla, The Namibian Dessert Queen, is married to Ray Sydney Musirika-Apollus and their ceremony took place on October 2022 in Okahandja.

She told VIBEZ! that it's always been her dream to marry her lover Apollus.

“It feels amazing to be married and I am totally overwhelmed by the feeling. I married my best friend, my go-to person, my ride or die – the one I found my peace and comfort in, my person whom I tell everything to, the one I cry with and the one I laugh with, the one I pray with and the one I make jokes with,” she was quoted by New Era.

This is her second marriage and they met through a mutual friend.

“It is important to understand your partner and that he is a unique individual with his own needs and desires as am I. It’s crucial to talk when you are not happy or to keep open communication channels on everything. The biggest lesson I have learned from past mistakes is to keep your relationship private and to work on whatever you might be going through in the house alone.

“Marriage is like a perfect triangle – only God, the husband and the wife – so whatever happens inside your house, it’s best to resolve it with each other than go to someone outside that might end up gossiping about your relationship and breaking it down.”

The songstress has only the sweetest things to say about her husband.

“He fills me completely where I lack. I’m a very impatient person who gets angry quickly; call it artistic nature. I also have mood swings, especially when I write music and songs. He is a great listener, and he encourages me a lot with my ‘Love Yourself’ campaign as well as my singing. He is my biggest supporter and cheerleader, a great father and a greater husband. We have built each other and helped one another when the one was down. We are looking forward to our future together and definitely walking with God,”  she concluded her interview.

Another celebrity who recently changed her last name is Lioness. She married her childhood sweetheart Miguel Hamutenya. The wedding took place at the Droombos lodge and was organised by Evgeniia of The Splendid Wedding Company and her dress was designed by South African fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee.

“I kept it away from the blogs and media because I had never been so happy to keep this joy between me, my family and friends. Yesterday, we solidified our blessings in front of the people that make up this foundation,” she wrote on Instagram.

Lioness gushed over her bae Miguel on Instagram when she revealed that they met almost 17 years ago now. "You've always cultivated me, made me better, taught me hard lessons and painful truths. Your work ethic is unbelievable, and even though I had this drive, you made me want to push harder."
