Emotions were very high when protestors questioned the motive and reasons why King Tee Dee only showed up to the protests days after it initially started. In a video released by Informante newspaper 3 girls can be seen engaging King Tee Dee and asking him why he was taking pictures at the protest.

The protestors felt that King Tee Dee was not doing enough. ''Can you tell us what you did to show us you are here for us,'' asks one of the girls. ''What do you want me to do now?'' King Tee Dee interjected.

In the video King Tee Dee tries to ascertain that he has daughters and understands the pain and suffering the protestors are going through.

Many of the protestors on social media were angry at the silence and lack of presence of some Namibian artists and influencers at the protests and asked them to speak up and join them at the protests. It is a huge surprise to see them confront artists such as King Tee Dee for showing up.

King Tee Dee tweeted that people should not question his motives for protesting against gender based violence, he recounted that his dad used to beat his mother and he ended up cutting ties with his dad.

''MY DAD WAS ALWAYS BEATING MY MUM & I RAN AWAY FROM HIM UNTIL TODAY I NEVER SAW HIM. SO IF U THINK YOU SAW IT, KNOW THAT I WAS THERE TOO.'' he tweeted.
Namibian youth organised themselves and started a peaceful demonstration since 01 October 2020 to put an end to femicide, gender based violence and the rape of women in Namibia. The youth have demanded the government take necessary steps to ensure Namibian women are protected.  The police ended up attacking and wounding women, men and children who were at the protest on Saturday 10 October 2020.
