Arts Sector In SA Receives R150 Million To Relieve The Industry

This follows after events have been postponed and canceled.

The outbreak of Covid-19 has been described as a major blow to the entertainment industry, across the globe. With events being cancelled or postponed, it means practitioners in the arts sector will not be able to make more money.

This has been a major concern also to Namibian artists, who have been forced to put on hold their events and appearances as gatherings have been prohibited. 

In South Africa the arts sector has coughed up more than R150 million, to relief the industry, there are also plans to speak to banks to negotiate for their loans and home payments.

Artists will also host numerous live streams, to keep fans entertained during the lockdown, which starts this evening.
