Miss Trans Ambassador Event Takes Place On Saturday

Namibia is breaking barriers with its first-ever Miss Trans Ambassador pageant which is scheduled to take place this Saturday, 27 July.

The event will be hosted at the Ella du Plessis Secondary School in Windhoek, with twelve contestants taking part. The winner will carry out a social responsibility campaign that will raise awareness around issues pertaining to transgender people. The contestants have already gone through social media campaign and social responsibility training.

Rivelino Reinecke, who is won Mr Gay Namibia 2018 and a judge at the Miss Trans Ambassador event explained that the contestants will be judged on advocacy activities conducted prior to the event and in four categories on the day. Contestants will also be judged on their personalities and style.

Other judges include award-winning beauty pageant director and choreographer; Sarel Refilwe Haith, internationally recognised pageant contributor; Bobby Kaanjosa, award-winning make-up artist; Jay Aeron, and actress, radio host and model; Odille Gertze.
