KP Illest has made history as the second Hip-hop artist after Jericho to have won the prestiguous Male Artist of the year award at the Namibia Annual Music Awards (NAMA). The covetted awarded is given to male musicians who had outstanding achievements and great music accolades.

For many, the award is not a surprise, KP Illest droped one of Namibia's best hip-hop albums titled Price Of Ambition. He worked with Ice Prince and Young T for one of the biggest songs of 2019. On top of that , he scooped some endorsements, major gigs and released some videos to keep his name in the conversation in the music industry.

KP Illest expressed his joy for winning the award on his twitter accont and was greatful for his achievement. ''I feel this picture tells my story perfectly. Thank you to everyone who believed in me it meant a lot to win this award and thank you all for all the love and positive messages. I’ve been nominated for this twice and by Gods Grace Male Artist of the Year came in 2020.'' shared an excited KP Illest.
