Ivonne Chaka Chaka distance herself from xenophobic-filled statement

Yvonne Chaka Chaka has strongly condemned a recent report claiming that she issued a xenophobic-filled statement.

The Icon who was invited to Namibia to attend the Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs), denounced the article which appeared online and on social media quoting the singer saying 'all foreigners must leave South Africa'.

The music legend took to Instagram to rubbish the report in a video.

She said; "Does that really sound like me? I live and work in Africa. This is my continent; my roots are here in Africaā€¯.

Yvonne then scolded the writer in a scathing message.
