Top Cheri Confirms Her Arrest With Other Local Artists

Artists such as Sunny Boy and Jossy Joss were allegedly arrested for violating the lockdown regulations.

Namibian artist Top Cheri, has spoken out about her arrest on Saturday, with other fellow Namibian artists for violating the lockdown regulations.

This follows after artists gathered at Funky Lab in Windhoek for, The Suny Boy Online Concert. The concert was hosted by Yaziza Entertainment and Funky Lab but it ended up not happening as police allegedly arrested them.

In a Tweet, Top Cheri said she was booked to perform and when she arrived at the venue she was informed that a cable had gone missing and she decided to leave the venue to kill time.

She said upon her return eyebrows were raised when police stormed at the venue. She said when they got inside the venue around 12 people came out of the venue and they were arrested.

According to reports the list of the people who were arrested included Sunny Boy, Top Cheri, Jossy Joss, and Funky Lab night club owner, Thomas Nakushelo, and other artists.
