The bail hearing took place at the Windhoek High Court on August 22. They are charged with threatening to close down China Town. Together with several other Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF) members engaged in a protest action at Chinatown in Windhoek two months back.

With his wife Julieta Amushelelo and a few of their supporters, Amushelelo celebrated his release and had a few drinks with friends afterward.

He also penned a heartwarming message to supporters saying the fight is not over.

"I am pleased to inform the public that after being imprisoned for over 100 days over 144,000 minutes my brother @nauyomadee and I have been released from Windhoek Island Prison.

We would like to inform the public that we are more determined to ensure that we achieve Genuine Economic Emancipation in our lifetime. The current government should build more prisons because for as long as we have oppressive leaders who are against their own people while favoring foreigners we won’t stop," wrote Amushelelo.

They said they will continue fighting for the oppressed, "We are highly appreciative of everyone who has supported us and with your encouragement, we will continue to fight against an oppressive government that is no different from the apartheid government. They are ready to silence us through prisons and even by killing us, however, our ideals will never die.

"Once we make our people realize how powerful they are, they will never allow themselves to be taken for granted," he concluded.

His wife is super proud of him and he even thanked her for continuing his fight when he was in prison.

Julieta also gushed over him when he was locked up. She even promised to give him those babies when he got released. Should we prepare for a baby shower soon?

"I am honestly so proud and highly blessed to be married to such a hard working, driven, generous, lovely, considerate, respectful, non-corrupt, husband. You are and will forever be everything to me. Watching you be such a fearless well calculated leader has been eye opening not only to me but to all that follow and believe in you.

"There is no day that passes by where by I don’t miss you, but I’m hopeful and grateful that I get to go through this with you. There is no one else I’d choose besides you !! I love you coração. I hope you get all the rest you need cause when you come out we are going to make Babies."
