Those that made it onto the list couldn't hide their joy as they took to social media to celebrate with their fans on achieving such a huge milestone. One such individual that couldn't contain his excitement was Luis Munana.

Many congratulated him on such a huge achievement, but it wasn't until it was mentioned that there was a glitch somewhere in Luis's post. In Luis' original post (which he has since corrected) he highlighted that he was the 'first Namibian male' to be selected for the Forbes #30UNDER30 list. However, this did not sit well with some.

Though they wished him well and congratulated him, people were quick to point out that Luis is not the 'first Namibian male' to be selected for the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Sandra Mwiihangele, founder of Kiyomisandz Beauty Products was the only Namibian on the Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list in the year 2017. In 2018, Thomas Duncan, owner of Anticor, Namibia’s largest distributor of Cleantech Point-of-Entry & Point-of-Use Water Purification Systems made it onto the list. So for Luis to say that he was the 'first Namibian male' to make it onto the list seemed to be a slap in the face especially for Thomas Duncan.

Luis penned a long statement on his Instagram stating how people are showing so much hate towards him.

Luis pointed out that this was purely a mistake and he has apologised for it and has since corrected the error on his social media.

However some have come out to show Luis some love and give him some support.

This was purely a mistake on both ends and perhaps people need to focus on that  Luis has owned up to his mistake and has corrected it as well. It will be best to support each other as Namibians.
