We love it when Namibians win and raise the Namibian flag high. One person who has everyone singing his praises is Deon Hotto, who continues to make great strides in his soccer career.

The Namibian-born footie who plays for Mzansi's prestigious football club  Orlando Pirates bagged the Player of the Season award at the end of season awards, and he is on cloud nine.

This past season, Hotto has been making boss moves. He has scored 7 goals and made 44 appearances across all competitions for the team.

Taking to his Instagram page to share the exciting news he said, "Thanks to all the fans Friends And Family. I am grateful to all for Contemplating me for these awards. Back in training and excited for the new season. #OnceAlways. Amabhakabhaka," he shared.

At the prestigious PSL awards in June, Hotto won the MTN8 Last Man Standing award for R80,000. He took to social media to show his gratitude.

"Grateful and blessed to have won the #MTN8 Last Man Standing award. "Inspiration for next season 🙏🏾. Thank you to all the @orlandopirates and Deon Hotto fans in South Africa, Namibia and all over for the support this season #OnceAlways."

Hotto is one of the country's top international football players. He hails from Swakopmund and he has managed to build a successful career in soccer. You'll be amazed at the opulent lifestyle soccer players enjoy with their solid salaries.

Hotto joined Pirates recently after Bidvest Wits concluded its last season. The soccer star is also apparently raking in the coins. SowetalLIVE reported that he would take home staggering cash of R500 000 per month in the previous season.

An insider told the paper that at Bidvest Wits Hotto was apparently getting paid R200 000.

"Hotto will become [one] of the best-paid players in the PSL. This is a ground-breaking deal. He has always wanted to play for Orlando Pirates and now his dream has come true. “His salary will balloon from something around R200‚000 to over half-a-million [a month] next season,"

Apart from his busy and successful career, he is also an amazing partner. He recently took to social media to send the sweetest message to his partner on her birthday.

"Happy Birthday, Sweetheart, and thank you for making me the happiest man in the world. Today being your Special Day, I Reiterate my promise to give u all of my❤and do Everything within my Power to make u the happiest Woman on Earth. I Love you so much. Happy Birthday, Sweetheart," he shared.
