As Namibia is currently experiencing a surge in the number of Covid-19 infections recorded a day, celebs have taken to social media to plead with their followers to stay safe.

Influencer and mommy-to-be Sendry posted on her Instagram stories warning fans to think about their elders as home who are at a greater risk of being affected by the deadly virus. "As much as our immune systems are strong as young people, just remember we are killing our innocent elders at home," she shared.

King Tee Dee also voiced out his concerns to those who still believe that the deadly virus is not real. In a tweet, King Tee Dee encouraged them to change their perception and said when it hits home and claim someone close to them then they will realize that the virus is dangerous.

"All this COVID-19 is a waste of time to you until one that is close to you dies or you experience it!! That will wake you up quickly!! Change,"
Rapper Lioness has been creating awareness around the virus on social media and in her recent tweets, she warned her followers that things are getting real in the hospitals.

Lioness who is a medical doctor shared that hospitals are currently at full capacity due to the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases reported every day.

"If you’re irresponsible and catch COVID I’m sorry for you but things won’t be so pretty! Hospitals are  FULL TO THE CAPACITY!!"

The doctor recently shared the exciting news on social media that after 8 years of her academic endeavors she is only left with a month to complete her studies. This will be a huge milestone for her and a dream come true as she has been working hard to complete her studies.
The presidency recently announced that the president Mr. Hage Geingob and The First Lady Monica Geingob, are self-isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.

"The presidency would like to inform the nation that president Hage G. Geingob and the First Lady, Madame Monica Geingob tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday evening 26 May 2021. The president and the First lady are in good spirits and self-isolating at their residence," shared the presidency.

The presidency shared that neither of them has been admitted to the hospital. "The President and the First Lady are in a stable condition and in good spirits. All precautionary measures are taken, and nor the President nor the First Lady have been admitted to the hospital." shared The Presidency.
