Sally Boss Madam whose real name is Sally Ephraim Keya was born on 13 May 1986 in Windhoek, Namibia. She is the only girl in the family as she has two brothers. Sally Boss Madam was raised by a single mother and has so much praise for the hard work she put in.
The singer's music journey began in church when she was 11 but went professional in 2012 and released her first album Boss Madam. Three years later, Sally Boss Madam released her second album I Am Mukwanekamba which carried tracks like “Mukwanekamba’, ‘Ndikakwate’, and ‘Feel Like This’.
What followed was her third album “My Black” which she'd dedicated to black women. Sally is passionate about this particular topic as she was raised by a single mother and witnessed the challenges and triumphs she went through. Hence, she wants to use her platform to elevate other women.
Sally Boss Madam’s most recent work is “Lucky Girl”. It carries 14 tracks and carries her hit song Halla At Your Gal.
Having established herself in the Namibian music industry, Sally Boss Madam has performed on some of the biggest stages. She’s performed at the 20th anniversary of the Bank of Namibia where she sang for the founding father of Namibia. She was also the main act during the opening of the office of the first lady.
Sally has collaborated with artists like Erna Chimu, Young T, Finstone, Gina Jeanz, and KP Illest.
Sally Boss Madam owns Boss Madam Productions which she uses to advance the careers of women in the industry.
She’s also attracted a lot of brand endorsements with companies like Sanlam, Confederation of African Football Woman Championships Ambassador, Lexus, Indian Embassy and Shell Namibia amongst others.
Sally Boss Madam and her husband DJ Kboz divorced in 2020. This brought to an end incessant rumours about their split which began in early 2020. In a social media statement, the songstress explained that this was the best decision for them and their son. She did not reveal the cause of their separation but said they remain business partners. The two tied the knot in 2010.
In 2018, Sally Boss Madam was named the brand ambassador of Lexus which means she got one of the brand’s models.
