Personal Life

Exit Rockaz whose real name is David Shikalepo was born on 7 April 1989 in Oshakati, Namibia. He schooled in and around Oshakati and moved to Windhoek during his tertiary education. He went to the University of Namibia where he studied media.

Exit Rockaz’s Career

It was during his days at the University of Namibia that Exit Rockaz met artist and producer Mushe. He joined him under the 2-tight hip-hop crew which led to the creation of the Exit n’ Muche duo.

The duo made headlines as they came with a new sound, a Kwaito version of hip hop. It didn’t take long before they were signed by a record label. After a stellar performance at the Ongwediva, Blend Entertainment took them under their wing and they became famous. This allowed them to have access to and perform with artists like Gazza, The Dogg, King Tee Dee and PDK.

They released singles like "Olye Ekulonga Okwiimba", "Lets Get Down To Business", and "Oka-Styla". After much success under the Exit n’ Muche partnership, Exit Rockaz went solo in 2012 and to date, he’s released the following albums “Kunta Kinte”, “Die Hele Box”, and “The Silence”.

Some of Exit Rockaz's songs include "On My Own", "Da Barron", "Kanyanga" and "Killar All Star".

After he went solo, Exit Rockaz established his own record label Rockaz Productions.

Beyond music, Exit Rockaz is involved in philanthropy. He is one of the ambassadors of Monica Gender Violence Solution, an organisation geared toward educating society on human rights.
