Tunakie was well known for her passion for music and she was a loving mother who loved her children and husband wholeheartedly. The memorial service featured a number of performances from some of the country's top artists including Top Cheri and Sally Boss Madam. According to Eagle FM, the family has suffered another major blow as Tunakie's cousin and best friend Pamela, has also passed away after learning about the untimely passing of the musician.

Speaking to The Namibian her sister Secilia Aludiku, broke her silence about her passing and recounted the last day she spoke to her."The last time I spoke to her she said she was not well. When I saw her message I said It is well sisi you will be fine, and that is the last time I spoke to my sister," she told the publication.

Tunakie passed on after collapsing at her salon in South Africa and her sister said a lady who was with her said after collapsing she was rushed to the hospital.

"She said your sister came to work at 8 am, as usual. She said around 10-11, she ate her food and walked out from the salon and went near the place (salon) to a market. When she came back she started saying she was not feeling well , she was feeling hot. When she stood up from the chair, she fell down and they rushed her from the hospital,"

Secilia said according to the doctor when she arrived at the hospital Tunakie was not responding. Celebrities including the likes of DJ Kaboz, Gazza, Pombili, Shilongo, and Sunny Boy have paid tribute to the late artist.

Tunakie's passion and love for music was unmatched. She is comparable to Miriam Makeba, Sibongile Khumalo and Angelique Kidjo.
